Ingredients
- ½ kg boneless chicken

1 cup chana dal soaked for 30 mins
- 2 tsp oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

7-8 cloves

7-8 black pepper
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 2 tsp coriander seeds
-
1 tsp carom seeds
- 3 whole red chilli
-
½ tsp chilli flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup of water

1 tsp Ginger finely chopped

2 Green Chillies
-
2 tsp Garlic finely chopped

1/2 cup Coriander Leaves chopped

1/2 cup Mint Leaves chopped
- 2 Eggs
Directions
Thoroughly clean your chicken pieces and store in a bowl.
Take a pressure cooker and add oil and cumin seeds, cloves, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, coriander seeds, carom seeds, dry red chilli and red chilli flakes and saute for a few minutes.
Next add the chana dal and boneless chicken pieces along with salt to taste and water.
Bring the water to a simmer.
Once the chicken is tender and the water has evaporated, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.
Once it is at room temperature, take a big blender and add all the ingredients in the cooker to the blender.
Blend them together to form a thick textured paste. In this paste add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger and garlic and mix all the ingredients together.
Pour one egg into the mixture of ingredients with the thick paste and mix well to make a dough.
Next make small patties of the dough using your hands.
In a bowl break the other egg. Heat some oil on a flat pan
Brush each patty with the egg liquid and fry them on the pan till golden brown.
- Serve hot with a side of mint or coriander chutney.
