Ingredients
Directions
Take the ghee and heat it in a heavy kadhai or pan
Add wheat flour to the pan. Ensure that your ghee is hot and roast the wheat flour
In another pan add water and sugar and heat them on a medium to high flame
Let the sugar-water solution come to a boil
Roast the wheat flavour till it becomes golden and a distinctive aroma of wheat can be smelled
Stir the wheat consistently to get an even brown colour overall
If the sugar mixture starts to boil extensively, then lower the flame
Once the atta is golden and releasing ghee, increase the flame on the sugar solution and let it bubble.
As soon as the sugar solution bubbles, add the hot solution to the wheat atta
Constantly stir the mixture to ensure no lumps are there. Eventually the halwa will thicken as the wheat flour absorbs the water
Switch the heat off once you are satisfied with the consistency of the halwa.
Serve hot topped with chopped cashews and almonds.
